Part of what makes this coastline so special is that many of the most stunning spots are not easily reachable. That\u2019s why having your own <strong>means of transport<\/strong> is essential: driving these roads will reveal one postcard-perfect view after another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Which_beaches_should_you_visit\"><\/span>Which beaches should you visit?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the unmissable <strong>coves in Ogliastra<\/strong> are: <strong>Cala Goloritz\u00e8<\/strong>, <strong>Spiaggia di Cea<\/strong>, <strong>Cala Mariolu<\/strong>, <strong>Cala Luna<\/strong>, <strong>Lido di Orr\u00ec<\/strong> and <strong>Santa Maria Navarrese<\/strong>. This is just a small selection of the most beautiful ones, each with its own unique features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What makes them so special?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cala_Goloritze\"><\/span>Cala Goloritz\u00e8<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ellepirental.com\/blog\/en\/discover-sardinia-by-car-rental\/cala-goloritze-sardinia-where-is-how-to-reach\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"undefined (apri in una nuova scheda)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cala Goloritz\u00e8<\/a><\/strong> is the jewel of this coastline, famous for its <strong>143-metre high pinnacle<\/strong>, a true landmark for climbing lovers. From the beach you can also admire its natural arch on the right side of the cove, opening directly onto the sea. The shoreline is formed by tiny white pebbles and sand that contrast beautifully with the intense emerald-green water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can reach this cove in two ways: by sea, with <strong>organised boat tours<\/strong>, or on foot, following a trail from the Golgo plateau down to the beach. The beach is composed of tiny, smooth white pebbles that stand out against the mountain backdrop surrounding the cove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Limestone rocks emerge from the water to form small islets, adding even more charm to this extraordinary place. Cala Mariolu is considered a <strong>beach of rare beauty<\/strong>, partly because it is almost inaccessible by land. To reach it, you must rely on <strong>boat excursions<\/strong> departing from <strong>Arbatax<\/strong> or <strong>Santa Maria Navarrese<\/strong>. It is also reachable via an 8-kilometre trekking path starting from the Golgo plateau, but it is quite challenging. If you choose this option, we recommend relying on experienced environmental guides. No boat trips or <strong>trekking routes<\/strong> this time, yet the view will be no less impressive!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Santa_Maria_Navarrese\"><\/span>Santa Maria Navarrese<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, <strong>Santa Maria Navarrese<\/strong>, both the starting point for many excursions along the coast and a highly popular destination among travellers. Just steps from the village, the beach is surrounded by lush vegetation that shelters it from the wind.
