Are you planning your vacation in Sardinia and looking for the most beautiful beaches to include in your tour? Today, we want to give you some tips to make your trip unforgettable.

This is the most convenient and practical solution to explore the island, especially if you choose to travel with a group.

Let’s see these beaches described in detail below!
Is Arutas Beach
Are you wondering what the white beaches of Sardinia are? Is Arutas and the nearby Mari Ermi are not only very beautiful beaches, but they are also among the whitest in the world. What makes these beaches so special is the sand: small grains of white quartz that are truly unique. The temptation to take a grain of this paradise home is very high, but be careful, as it can result in a hefty fine!
The sand gives the water a unique color, a deep blue that shines with each wave.
Is Arutas and Mari Ermi are among the most beautiful beaches of Oristano, not far from the small San Salvatore village, which has been the backdrop for many western films.
Putzu Idu Beach
Speaking of white beaches, the coast of San Vero Milis is home to the beautiful Putzu Idu beach, located in the enchanting Marine Protected Area of the Sinis Peninsula. This coastal stretch is extraordinary because it combines a variety of beaches and environments, very different from each other.
Putzu Idu boasts a magnificent stretch of fine white sand, which extends to the splendid quartz beaches of S’Arena Scoada, at the border. The crystal-clear sea, with its Caribbean-like colors, offers hues that fade into the horizon due to the shallow depth of the seabed, which slopes gently. Turquoise predominates in this color palette.
The wide beach stretches for several kilometers, and behind it, there is a small tourist village, a pedestrian road along the coast, and a large lagoon that serves as the habitat for pink flamingos and rare bird species. In the summer, this location comes alive with tourist events and offers a wide range of services. From Putzu Idu, you can also take an unmissable excursion to the nearby Mal di Ventre island, which is worth visiting.
Solanas Beach, Sinnai
Solanas Beach is nestled on the southern coast and is characterized by sun, wind, and crystal-clear sea. This beach is just a short distance from Cagliari and is considered a favorite spot for surfers and divers, but it is also ideal for those who love long walks along the shore thanks to its vast beach. The beach has numerous services, for a perfect day of relaxation: pedalos, loungers, and umbrellas. All around, there is a green frame that creates a striking contrast with the sea and golden sand.
Tuerredda Beach, Teulada
Tuerredda is a bay of over half a kilometer stretching between Capo Malfatano and Capo Spartivento, in the Teulada area. Thanks to its crystal-clear water and consistently warm temperatures, it is the ideal destination to relax and enjoy great swims. In front of the beach, we can find the homonymous small island, which is reachable by swimming in just a few minutes.
The only downside is that, to preserve the naturalness of this place, the beach has become limited in number.

Cala Cipolla
Cala Cipolla is a wonderful cove with golden sand, located between majestic granite rocks beneath the Capo Spartivento promontory, in the renowned tourist area of Chia, in South Sardinia. Behind the sand dunes, there is a pine and juniper forest, which gives the area a still wild and isolated atmosphere.
The crystal-clear sea of Cala Cipolla is protected by rocks and offers a variety of hues ranging from blue to emerald green. The area is highly appreciated by underwater fishing enthusiasts and divers.
From the surrounding hills, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the nearby Su Giudeu Beach. Also, a path leads to the Capo Spartivento Lighthouse, offering the opportunity to admire the Chia coastline from different perspectives.
Cala Domestica, Buggerru
Let’s head towards the South Sardinia and the beaches of Costa Verde, and continue our tour with Cala Domestica, one of the most scenic beaches in this coastal corner. The white cliffs, the fine sandy and gravel bed, and the characteristic charm of a territory that was once the center of mining activity are just some of the features of this beach.
Among the beaches that are easily reachable by car, Cala Domestica is one of the most suitable, thanks to its large parking area. Additionally, there is a camper parking area, a refreshment point, a campsite, and a walkway for access.

La Pelosa, Stintino
La Pelosa in Stintino is protected by the rocks of Capo Falcone, a very scenic natural barrier. What sets it apart from many others is its seabed, made up of vibrant and vivid colors that almost look painted.
In front of the beach is a small island with the Aragonese tower of La Pelosa, dating back to 1578. The beach is easily accessible by car, but due to its beauty, it is recommended to visit it in September to avoid the tourist crowds.
Cala Brandinchi, San Teodoro
Not far from the renowned North-East Coast, we find the beautiful Cala Brandinchi beach, located in the Capo Coda Cavallo area. Here you can admire a beautiful contrast of colors, with the pine forest surrounding the white beach and the brilliant turquoise sea. The air is filled with the scent of thyme, rosemary, and myrtle.
Few people know that on this spot, on October 17, 1867, after a flight from Caprera, Giuseppe Garibaldi embarked with the intent to liberate Rome, with the help of the locals.
Scoglio di Peppino, Muravera
Scoglio di Peppino is a small gem that marks the border between Muravera and Castiadas. Peppino was a Sardinian fisherman who loved his work and spent time resting and reflecting. He used to do this on a very clear granite rock, which today takes his name. This is a truly magical place, with a sea ideal for children.

Porto Giunco, Villasimius
Porto Giunco is considered one of the most beautiful beaches, a paradisiacal gem about 45 km from Cagliari. Surrounded by eucalyptus forests, a tropical sea with clear sand provides days of relaxation and peace. Behind it, the Notteri Lagoon is home to pink flamingos. Here, you can enjoy snorkeling, birdwatching, and trekking to observe the bay from the promontory.
We also suggest reading our article where we talk about the beaches of Ogliastra. The eastern coast is just as scenic but more difficult to reach, and you can usually only admire its beaches after following trekking paths. With your car, you can get to the start of the trails and continue on foot, following paths that will remain in your heart forever.
